For trainers and owners

Keep every owner in the loop

ThoroughTrack is being built to turn the work your yard already records into a clear, stable-branded update for each owner — weekly or monthly, sent the way they like to hear from you.

Illustrative – sample data

Two sides of the rail

Fewer evenings on updates, better-informed owners

Owners want to know how their horse is going. Trainers want to tell them without losing an evening to it.

If you train

Built from the morning’s records, not an evening’s typing

Exercise and health checks logged between lots become the raw material for each owner’s report. You pick the horse and the period, add photos and a comment, and decide who sees it.

If you own

A clear picture of your horse, in one consistent format

The work your horse has done, health notes, key figures, photos and a word from your trainer — on your trainer’s letterhead. What you see is what your trainer chooses to share with you.

Weekly and monthly reports

What goes in a report

  1. Your stable’s name and logo Every report carries your stable’s branding.
  2. The horse and the period A weekly or monthly summary for each horse.
  3. Training summary The work done and the key gallops. A route diagram appears only if you choose to add one.
  4. Health notes Drawn from the checks your team logs between lots.
  5. Key figures In your stable’s units — furlongs or metres, kg or lb, °C or °F.
  6. Photos Pictures of the horse, kept with its record rather than lost in a camera roll.
  7. A word from the trainer Your comment, in your own words.
  8. A clear cut-off Each PDF states the date and time its data runs to, so nobody mistakes last month’s report for this one.

Getting it to owners

Send it their way

Some owners live on WhatsApp, some want an email, some like to look for themselves. All four routes are planned — none is in the current build.

Branded PDF

Export the report as a PDF with your stable’s name and logo, ready to send or print.

Planned for launch

WhatsApp, email or share sheet

Send it the way each owner already likes to hear from you, straight from the phone.

Planned for launch

A private link

Expires after 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days — 7 days by default — and you can revoke it at any time.

Planned for launch

Read-only owner login

Owners can look in on their own horses and the reports you publish to them. They can’t change anything.

The owners’ view

You decide what owners see

Nothing reaches an owner until you publish or send it. Here’s how owner access is designed to work.

Owners can see

  • Only the horses they own with you
  • The reports you choose to publish to them
  • Shared PDFs and links you send them, until a link expires or you revoke it

Owners can’t see

  • Other owners’ horses, or the rest of the yard
  • Stable-wide reports — temperature flags, feed drops, vaccination status across the yard
  • Raw GPS routes, or which rider rode the work
  • Reports you haven’t published to them
  • Any way to edit or add records — owner access is read-only
  • Publish on purpose. An owner sees a report only after you publish it to them.
  • Links run out. Every private link expires, and you can revoke it sooner.
  • Routes stay private. Off by default; rider identity removed if you add one.

Questions

Owner reports, answered

Can trainers send owner reports from ThoroughTrack today?

Not yet. ThoroughTrack is pre-release, and owner reports, PDF export, sharing and the owner login are planned for the release after the pilot-ready build. Today’s build holds the records those reports will be made from.

I’m an owner. Can I sign up?

Not on your own. Owner access comes from your trainer’s stable, which decides which horses and reports you see. ThoroughTrack isn’t in the App Store or Google Play yet either — if you’d like your trainer to try it, point them to the pilot.

Can a trainer take back a link once it’s sent?

Private links are planned for launch. When they arrive, yes: every private link will expire — after 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, with 7 days the default — and the trainer will be able to revoke it at any time before then. After that, the link will no longer open the report.

Will owners see GPS routes from the gallops?

Owner reports are planned for launch and GPS recording is coming for the pilot. Once both arrive, a route will appear in a report only if the trainer chooses to add it — it’s off by default — and the rider’s identity is removed first. Owners never see raw routes. More on how location data is handled.

Does a sent report change if records are corrected later?

Owner PDFs are planned for launch. Each one will be a snapshot that states the date and time its data runs to, so a sent report won’t change. Anything recorded or corrected afterwards will appear in the next report.
