Our commitment
This statement covers the ThoroughTrack website, run by ThoroughTrack Limited. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
How accessible this site is
We designed and built this website with WCAG 2.2 AA in mind from the start. It hasn't yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist, so we describe it as aiming for level AA rather than claiming full conformance. We'll update this statement when we've had it independently checked.
What we've done
- Clear structure. Each page has one main heading, headings in a logical order, and standard landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer.
- Keyboard friendly. Everything works with a keyboard, a “Skip to main content” link comes first, and links and buttons show a clear focus outline.
- Readable colours. Text and controls are checked against AA contrast levels. For example, body text is about 14:1 against the page background, and links about 7.6:1.
- Flexible layouts that adapt to small screens, larger text and zoom.
- Calm motion. If you've asked your device to reduce motion, animations and smooth scrolling are switched off.
- No scripts needed. The site works without JavaScript. Menus and questions-and-answers use standard HTML elements that assistive technology understands.
- Described pictures. Illustrations of the app have a text description, and purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Plain English, with the page language set so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
- Nothing against the clock. There are no time limits, auto-playing media, forms or CAPTCHAs.
Known limitations
- App illustrations. The phone and tablet pictures of the app are each described as a single image. The sample data shown inside them, such as made-up horse names and figures, isn't read out item by item. The description explains what the screen shows.
- Wide tables. On very narrow screens, some tables on our legal pages scroll sideways. You can reach them with the keyboard and scroll them with the arrow keys.
- Limited testing so far. We haven't yet tested the site with a wide range of screen readers and other assistive technology.

The ThoroughTrack app
This statement covers the website only. The ThoroughTrack app is still pre-release, and we plan to publish an accessibility statement for it before it launches in the app stores. If you're in the pilot and something in the app is hard to use, please tell us.
How we prepared this statement
This statement was prepared on 10 October 2026, based on a self-assessment by the team that built the website. We'll review it at least once a year, and whenever we make significant changes to the site.
